Ok, so that’s what I used to think when I was a little boy, but now I can relive that fantasy this fall with Rock Band. I’ve been looking forward to this game for a very long time — ever since it was announced. I simply love guitar hero, but always wished I could drum in a band.

Kotaku just posted what I think is the first video of Rock Band in action. While I was excited about it before, I simply must have it now! I even found my self “air band” drumming to Mississippi Queen while watching the video just to see if I could easily pick it up. What a geek I am. What’s even better is my son wants to sing, my wife wants to play bass, and my brother-in-law who is a REAL guitar player, would easily play guitar for us. Boom - instant band!

I can’t wait.
